The main ENforce project focuses on developing the first bionic foot prosthesis in Poland. It will readily help amputees to walk naturally and will allow them to regain full independence and to lead normal lives, including doing sports.
The solution which is being developed will provide amputees with a fully customized prosthesis to help them walk naturally again and will ensure exceptional comfort of use. The prosthesis will not cause other medical disorders and dysfunctions in the healthy parts of the musculoskeletal system.
The aim of the project is to create an active prosthesis which will ensure movement of the foot throughout the gait cycle. The wearer will not only be able to support himself/herself on it but also walk in a manner which is almost natural. Thanks to modern electronic solutions, the prosthesis will be able to identify the walking phases and adapt to the gait of the user and to the surface.
Reaching our goal
We have already finished testing the prototype, confirming that specific components may be used in the prosthesis.
